Hunting for the Northern Lights, a Reindeer Safari and a Husky Safari are included in this tour, as well as breakfasts, dinners and Rovaniemi Airport transfers.
Itinerary
Day 1 Rovaniemi Arrival
On arrival in Rovaniemi transfer to Santa Claus Holiday Village. The resort is located 8kms from Rovaniemi city centre and is just a two minute walk from the Santa Claus Village. Your accommodation for the next four nights at the village will be in a Classic Cottage. All cottages have one double/twin bed and one sofa bed, private bathroom facilities, a sauna, kitchenette and terrace and can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children per cottage. Breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant at Santa Claus Holiday Village is included daily.
Day 2 Rovaniemi: Husky Safari
After breakfast, transfer to the local husky farm for an exciting and fun Husky Safari! The friendly barking of the excited huskies welcomes you and after a brief lesson, it's time to head off - as soon as the dogs start running, all you will hear is the swish of the sled runners, as you glide quietly across the snow. Stop for a break and a hot drink and the chance to switch drivers. On your return to the Husky Farm enjoy some hot juice around an open fire and listen to the "head musher" tell some stories about these amazing dogs. Two persons share each sled and children travel in a large sleigh pulled by the guide and the safari duration is 2hrs (sledding time approx. 45-60mins, 7-10km). Transfer back to the village and time at leisure. Dinner and 2nd overnight at Santa Claus Holiday Village.
Day 3 Rovaniemi: Evening Hunt for the Northern Lights
Breakfast at the resort then a daytime at leisure. Perhaps visit Santa at his nearby village just a few minutes walk away, explore the town, browse the shops or visit the fabulous Arktikum Museum. Or join one of the great optional daytime excursions available - visit Ranua Wildlife Park, Snowmobile Safari to Santa's Village, Snowshoeing, Ice Fishing, e-Snowmobiling or Ice Floating.
After dinner, a chase for the Northern Lights awaits you. Transfer by bus into the wilderness, away from the light pollution to one of the best spots to observe the Northern sky. Look up into the night sky for the elusive Aurora which may appear! Amongst the peace of nature, enjoy a hot drink and snack. 3rd overnight at Santa Claus Holiday Village.
Day 4 Rovaniemi: Reindeer Safari
Breakfast at the village, followed by an authentic Reindeer Safari. Sit comfortably in a sleigh, take photos of the nature around you and listen to the sounds of the reindeer. Two persons share each sleigh and the safari duration is 3hrs (sleigh time approx. 1hr). Enjoy hot drinks and snacks around the campfire as the reindeer herder shares stories of life with the reindeer. Transfer back to the village and time at leisure. Dinner and 4th overnight at Santa Claus Holiday Village.
Day 5 Rovaniemi Departure
Breakfast then transfer to the airport and end of arrangements.

Families of more than four can book two cottages side-by-side (whole house). The two cottages are connected by a warm hallway, so doors can be kept open for easy access. There is only one outside entrance.
