Itinerary
Day 1 Kiruna Arrival
Shared coach transfer from Kiruna Airport to hotel by coach. Check in to Camp Ripan Hotel or similar in Kiruna for two nights stay. Surrounded by mountian nature, the unique Camp Ripan Hotel is located 10 minutes drive from Kiruna city centre. Each self-contained hotel room is a cosy cabin with a private entrance.
Day 2 Husky Safari
This morning, get ready for a Forest Escape Husky Safari. You will sit on a big sled driven by a guide. Enjoy a ride through the sparkling winter landscape of Lapland by dog sled; the glitter of snowflakes is all around as the huskies run along a wilderness trail. Half-way, stop at a lavvu, a traditional Sami style tipi, and warm yourself around a roaring fire with hot drinks and snacks. Afternoon at leisure.
Optional evening Northern Lights Husky Safari 2.5 hours - your eyes will quickly adjust to the dusk light. Silence, stillness and action at the same time, while keeping watch for the fabled Aurora. You will sit on a big sled (4-5 persons) while the guide drives. Hot drinks and snacks are served around the fire.
Second overnight at Camp Ripan Hotel or similar in Kiruna.
Day 3 Kiruna to Abisko by train: Aurora Sky Station dinner and Aurora Hunt
Shared transfer from hotel to Kiruna train station. Train from Kiruna to Abisko, approx. 1 hour journey. Shared transfer from Abisko train station to Abisko Turiststation Hotel or similar in Abisko/ Björkliden. Afternoon at leisure. Evening tour to Aurora Sky Station, one of the world's best place to watch the Northern Lights. At Aurora Sky Station, on top of Mount Nuolja, no lights and sounds will disturb the night. This exclusive dinner tour begins with a beautiful chairlift ride up to Aurora Sky Station. Enjoy the journey into the darkness through the quiet park, and see more stars in the sky than ever before. Dinner is served upon arrival at 900m elevation. A guided tour and warm drinks are included during the evening before returning by chairlift.
Day 4 Abisko - Stockholm overnight train
Morning at leisure to explore Abisko. This afternoon, make your own way to Abisko train station. Travel by overnight train from Abisko to Stockholm, in a private sleeper compartment.
Day 5 Stockholm Arrival and City Sightseeing
Morning arrival by train to Stockholm. Transfer from Stockholm train station to hotel including a 3 hour guided city sightseeing tour with English speaking guide. Overnight at Clarion Amaranten or similar in Stockholm
Day 6 Stockholm Departure
Transfer to the airport and end of arrangements.
